

Ed was born November 19, 1942 in Milwaukee to Eddie and Harriett (Krauss) Heidemann. His family lived in a number of cities in Wisconsin, including Pulaski, where Ed attended local schools. After high school graduation, he attended Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Ed was formerly married to Dorothy Jakel.
For several years he worked at Allen Edmonds Shoe Factory in Belgium. He then began employment at Eclipse Manufacturing for the next thirty years where he was affectionately known as “Fast Eddie” by his co-workers. He retired in 2007.
He was a proud member of the UAW.
Ed was an avid fisherman and league bowler. He particularly enjoyed fishing trips to Hayward, WI with best friend, Dickie and his brother, Charlie. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Scott Heidemann of Oostburg, his daughters, Maria Fischer of Sheboygan and Ann (Adrian) Neils of Pulaski; three grandchildren, Michael, Michele-Jeni, and Erin; his great-grandson, Evan; his brother, Charles (Ann) Heidemann of Green Bay; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Balhorn Chapels. Rev. Alan D. Kubow, Associate Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
Ed’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Morningside Health Center and the great staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for all of their efforts these last few months.
Ed will always be remembered for his big heart
and his willingness to help everyone.
