

Emilie was born November 29, 1917 in Sheboygan to Fred and Helen (Biel) Schaefer. She attended Trinity Lutheran School before graduating from Sheboygan Vocational School in 1935.
Emilie was employed at the Hand Knit Hosiery, Sheboygan Casket Co., in the office of Dr. Charles Imig for 15 years, and at Prudential Ins. Co. from 1960 until her retirement in 1982.
Miss Schaefer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she sang with the church choir and served with the L.W.M.L. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Braille Workers Work Center #100 and Senior Citizens of Immanuel. Emilie was also a long time volunteer at the Bethesda Thrift Store.
Survivors include a niece, Helen (Len) Nagler of Appleton and their children, Anne Nagler of Milwaukee, Aaron (Caroline) Nagler and their children, Madeline, Violet, and Olive of Astoria, New York; nephew, Scott (Carol) Wilson of West Des Moine, Iowa and their children, Meghan Wilson of Washington, D.C., Colin Wilson of Baltimore, Maryland, and Jeremy (Camile) Wilson and their children, Ellen and Emilie of Longmont, Colorado; and cousins, Marion Johnson and Chris Yurk.
In addition to her parents, Emilie was preceded in death by a sister, Violet (Ralph) Wilson; and two brothers, Roman and Fred.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 3:30 P.M. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Adam L. Scheblein, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in Lutheran Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated for the memorial fund established in her name for Immanuel Lutheran Church.
