

Emilio Eduardo Torres, age 41, died tragically at his residence. He was born March 26, 1972 in Panama to Neyra Edith De Torres and the late Emiliano Torres Carvajal. He lived in Las Minas, Herrera from 1972 to 1987 and in Atalaya, Santiago from 1987 to 1990. After being selected as one of the brightest students at his school in Panama, he then moved to Veracruz, Panama until 1993 when he was selected to travel to Wisconsin as a foreign exchange student where he studied agriculture. Emilio lived in Cleveland, Alma and Mishicot for several months while he learned English and studied Agriculture. In September of 1995 he moved to Sheboygan and worked at the tannery. After two years, he started working for J.L. French (Nemak) and remained there for almost 20 years.
Emilio loved sports. He played with several softball teams and competed in many tournaments over the years. Emilio’s true passion was playing soccer. In addition to his favorite sports, Emilio loved to workout and lift weights.
Emilio is lovingly survived by his children: Dorian Maurice Torres, Vincente Martinez, Marrisa Rau, all of Sheboygan; three grandchildren: Devionteah, Jivionteah, and Khavon; his mother, Neyra Edith De Torres; his sisters and brothers: Cecilio Ruiz, Edwing Torres, Edith A. Torres, Neyra Edith Torres, Magda Torres, Eduardo Torres, Ericka Torres, Amada Atencio; his former wife, Shelly Torres and countless friends.
Emilio was preceded in death by his father, Emiliano Torres Carvajal.
Funeral services for Emilio will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan with the Rev. Freddie Delos Santos officiating. Friends will be welcomed for visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
There will be a special service for those who speak Spanish at 6:00 p.m.
