Helen K. Vasselos

Helen was born May 13, 1918 to Otto and Katherine (Wetzel) Winingstad. She attended Sheboygan schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1936.

On August 21, 1937 Helen and Walter Zajkowski were united in marriage. Helen worked at H.C. Prange Co, in the office at Quick Cleaners and at Art Imig’s. Walter preceded her in death on May 4, 1973.

Helen was a lifetime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and was a past member of the Home Missions. She enjoyed playing bridge with her fellow club members.

On February 24, 1979 Helen married Edward Vasselos. Upon retirement they enjoyed spending much time at their cottage at Chaugon Lake in Upper Michigan. Edward preceded her in death on September 24, 2007.

Helen is survived by her sister-in-law, Helen Liebl of Sheboygan; two Godchildren, Amy Wicks and Chip Wicks of Washington and also cousins and friends.

Graveside committal services for Helen will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Wildwood Cemetery. Rev. Joe Cottam, Pastor of St. Mark Lutheran Church, will officiate. Friends may gather at Ballhorn Chapels at 1:30 p.m.
