Bruce Leo Robertson, Jr.

A son of the late Bruce L. Robertson, Sr. and Lula Dofflemyer Robertson, he was born on May 1, 1937 in Page County and attended Shenandoah High School. He lived his entire life in Page County – Shenandoah; and served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 until 1959.

Mr. Robertson retired from Reynolds Metals in Grottoes on April 1, 1990 and owned Robertson Exterminating and Shenandoah Florist. He volunteered at Shenandoah Page One for over 25 years. Bruce was a member of Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a Deacon and Trustee over 48 years. He also sang in the choir and worked with Sunday school.

On September 3, 1960 he married Phyllis Grimsley Robertson who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Steve Robertson and wife, Marcia, of Hampton, VA and Gregg Robertson of Broadway; his twin sister, Mildred (Peg) Maiden and husband, H.L. of Elkton; his brother, J. Wayne Robertson and wife, Susan, of Harrisonburg; his little friend and buddy, Malakia Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews who were so special to him.

Members of the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastors Gary Saler, Larry Sullivan and Mike Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Community Cemetery.
