Harold Edward Good

Harold Edward Good, 90, a resident of Shenandoah, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born on January 30, 1921 in Shenandoah and was the son of the late Essie Etta Minnick, after his mother’s death he was raised by his grandparents John Grandstaff and Eliza Ann Good.
Mr. Good lived his entire life in Page County and attended Grove Hill School. During WWII he served in the United States Army. He was a farmer and concrete mason and also attended Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a member of the Avis O. Comer, VFW Post #8613 and the Virginia Ten Mason’s Union.
On May 11, 1942, he married Mary Jane Grimsley, who preceded him in death on January 28, 2001.
He is survived by a daughter, Susie Good; two sons, John E. Good and wife, Phyllis, Sam Good and wife, Shelley all of Shenandoah; four grandchildren, Debbie Williams and husband, Glenn, Marty Good, Samuel Good, II, and wife, Tammy, Jacob Good and wife, Erin all of Shenandoah; six great-grandchildren, Patrick Austin-Good of Staunton, Bethany Williams, Samuel Good III, Alexis Good, Madison Good, and Jacob Good, II, all of Shenandoah.
The family will receive friends 7-8:00 PM, Friday, July 29, at the Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 30, at the church, with Rev. Mike Reynolds and Larry Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery.
