Nancy Ellen Dorsett

DORSETT, NANCY ELLEN (KINGREA), 87, of Fairborn, OH, and formerly of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Wright Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, in Fairborn. She was born on August 23, 1935, in Christiansburg, VA to William and Frances (Wilson) Kingrea who preceded her in death.

She was married to Rev. Roy A. Dorsett of Kernersville, NC in 1956 and for over 40 years they served churches in the Pilgrim Holiness and Wesleyan denominations in Virginia, Maryland, New York, Canada, Delaware, North Carolina, Ohio and Indiana. Roy preceded her in death in 2001.

She is survived by her brother, William (Cleo) Kingrea of Elkton, VA, her step sister June Iddings of Myrtle Beach, SC, and her children, Elizabeth (Thomas) Cooper of New Carlisle, OH, David (Gabriela) Dorsett of Winston Salem, NC, and Daniel Dorsett of Salisbury, NC, 4 grandchildren; Stephen (Victoria) Cooper, Bethany Hodge, Bekah (Chris) Denton and Brittany (Alex) Johnson. She also had the joy of having 7 great grandchildren; Isaiah, Cooper, Allie, Collin, Kinley, Harrison and Genesis, as well as 1 nephew, Steve, and 2 nieces Vickie (Frank) Waldrop and Debbie (David) Green.

The family will receive friends on Sunday July 2, 2023, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, Ohio. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:30 p.m., with Chaplain, Col. David V. Green, of the U.S. Army officiating. The burial will take place at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton, Virginia.
