Anna Louise Thurman

Anna Louise Thurman, 74 of Shepherdsville, KY passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was born in Louisville, KY on Thursday, December 28, 1950, to the late Ervin and Ethel Puckett. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Buddy, Johnny, David and James Hunt, Ervin Puckett, Frankie Smith and Charlie Puckett, along with a granddaughter, Morgan Lewis. 

Anna has worked for 20 years at the Bullitt County Jail where she worked as part of the kitchen staff. She was a Christian by faith, and she enjoyed talking on the phone with friends, spending time with family and her beloved dogs. She will be fondly remembered by so many who loved her.  

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Dwight Thurman (Linda) and George Thurman (Laura); her grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Hunter, Tori, Destiney (Jordan) and Dylan (Chasity); her great grandson, Jaxton; her cousin, Rose Webb; her best friend, Bea Powers; her dogs, Lee, Sebastian and Gizmo; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. 

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Visitations will be on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of her granddaughter, by check to Morgan's Mission Inc, 219 Grandview Drive Shepherdsville, KY.
