Austin David Woolett

Austin David Woolett age 29, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 10, 2024.  He was born in Louisville on Tuesday, August 16, 1994 to John Woolett and Christi (Burden) Knight. He was a Christian by faith and a member of Riverside Church. He lived his life simply. He was an avid University of Louisville fan. Austin was a loving son, dad, brother, and grandson, that will be deeply missed. 

He was preceded in death by his Mammaw’s, Donna Burden, and Ida Woolett, his Papaw, Freddie Woolett, his cousin, Corey Davis, uncles, Nick, Royce and Mike, aunts, Lisa and Suzy, great-grandparents, Russell & Lovenia Burden, John Linton, Mary Freeman and Granny Pat.

He leaves behind his mom, Christi Knight; his dad, John Woolett (Melissa); his daughter, Savannah and her mom Lexie; his son, Bentley and his mom Katie; siblings, Dana, Jacob, and Christopher; grandparents, Roger Burden, and Vicki Burden Logsdon; uncles, Joe(Adrienne), Brian(Carol), Mike(Angie), Jimmy and Junior: aunts, Roseanne, Connie, Louise along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home at 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Mount Eden Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, from 9 am until the time of service at Hardy-Close Funeral Home. The family has asked in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
