

Brenzoil A. Chaney, age 81, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, June 23, 1944, to the late John and Dorothy Chaney in Belcher Kentucky.
Brenzoil proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict 1967-1968. He was an Infantry Sgt. in the 4th Infantry Division, awarded a Bronze Star with Valor for his heroism. He was a cowboy at heart. He loved his horses and enjoyed barrel racing. He loved to fish, go hunting and was a collector of old cars. Bren found peace just swinging out on the porch with a cup of coffee. Brenzoil will be greatly missed by all those that loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Blake Chaney and Blaine Chaney and stepdaughter Luann Stearman.
He is survived by his loving children, Jeff Chaney (Tammy), and Robin Edmonds (Jak “TJ”); stepson, Tony Stearman; grandchildren, Yasmine Seaborn (Jesse), Jeffrey Cyle Chaney, Jerry “TJ” Hurley (Kelli), Josh French (Em) and Hailey Slaughter; great-grandchildren, Mark, Kallie, Sadie, Gracee, Grant, Alanna, Alice, and Azzy; his siblings, Wanda Ramey, Brad Chaney (Gail), Kaye Bartley (Bill), Gaye Johnson, Wada Darnell and Wilda Abshire (Jerry) along with a host of other family and friends.
The family has chosen cremation and will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 4 pm at 206 Grove View Drive, Shepherdsville.
