Brian Lee Katzenbach

Brian Lee Katzenbach, age 53, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born in Louisville on Sunday, November 28, 1971, to the late Wilber “Sonny” Katzenbach and Andra Philpott.

Brian was a Baptist by faith and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. He was “Mr. Green Thumbs” who loved to garden. Brian could propagate any unwanted clippings, giving them new homes to share their beauty. He also enjoyed creating and starting new gardens for others to enjoy with an abundance of colorful flowers. He also had a special bond with his fur friend Rita and her unconditional love.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Andra Philpott and Don; sisters, Mary Katzenbach and Angel Katzenbach; brothers, David Katzenbach, Jason Katzenbach, and Joey Katzenbach; his uncle, Donnie Katzenbach; a dear friend Dub-Dub, and his furry friend, Rita. 

Mr. Katzenbach’s family has chosen cremation and has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with his arrangements. A private burial will be held at a later date.
