Catherine Vittitow-Rice

Rice, Catherine Vittitow passed away on December 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Rice. Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was devoted to her family and church. She instilled a strong work ethic in her family, and lived by the principle, "if it is worth doing, do it right." She loved time spent with her friends drinking McDonald's coffee and eating apple pie. She is survived by Dianne Logsdon, James H. Rice (Pat), Larry Rice (Connie), Randell Rice (Debbie), Richard Rice (Ellie), Lillie Mae McAfee (Kenneth) and Charles Rice, along with a plethora of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hardy-Close Funeral will handle the arrangements, with the viewing and service at Shepherdsville Christian Church. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Karen Yost and Rev. Danny Masden on Monday December 5, 2016 at 1: 00 p.m. Viewing will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, KY.
