Darlene Metcalfe

Darlene Metcalfe age 63 of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born on Sunday, April 15, 1962 to the late Noel and Patricia Cox. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Steve Metcalfe, her son Troy Metcalfe, along with a brother, Kenneth Cox.

She was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed watching Kentucky Basketball games, gardening, being outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her son, Justin Metcalfe; her siblings, Chris Cox (Vanessa), Sherry Bruce (Eddie), Donnie Cox (Glenda) and Ricky Cox (Kim); her grandchildren, Hailey Metcalfe, Steven Tyler Metcalfe and Colton Metcalfe; her brother in laws, Robert Stout and Jeff Metcalfe; her dog Banji; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

The Metcalfe family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with cremation services.
