

Deacon Roy Rogers age 66 of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 with loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Margie Rodgers. He was a retiree of General Electric after 37 ½ years of service and a faithful member and deacon of Hilltop General Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 42 years Kay (Wilson) Rogers; daughters, Renee Sewell (John), Tina Ferguson (Wayne), Tonya Carey (Tony); son, John Rogers; brother, James Rodgers; sisters, Peggy Warren, Jan Wilson, Ginger Martin and Jennie Rodgers; 7 grandchildren, Karlie Maraman, Amber Sewell, Wayne Ferguson Jr., Keiley Sewell, Cain Carey, Grace Carey and Kaylin Ferguson and a great granddaughter Raegan Maraman and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville with burial in Hebron Cemetery.
