She was preceded in death by her father, Walter VanMeter.
Diana was a Southern Baptist by faith. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening and time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by so many who loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald Lester; her daughter, Iva Wininger (William); her mother, Oleta Hill; her brother, Rocky VanMeter; her grandchildren, Robert, Ronald and Ryan; 6 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitations will be on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am until the time of service at 1:30 pm.
