Donahue "Donnie" Tipton

Donahue “Donnie” Tipton, age 61, of Shepherdsville, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, July 27, 2024. He was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1963, to the late Norma Johnson Tipton. 

He is also preceded in death by his aunt, Dessie Farris, along with his father-in-law, Johnnie Samuels. 

Donnie was a Christian by faith and a former Mason at Salt River Lodge 180. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and especially enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by so many who loved him. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 42 years, Debra Tipton; his children, Jonathan Samuels, Jerry Shepherd, Cheryl Rountree and Hope Peck (Johnathon); his grandchildren, Kayla Samuels, Kaitlyn Hudson, Autum Guffey, Johnathon Peck Jr., Roy Guffey III, Zachary Peck and Ciera Peck; his great grandchildren, Audree, Jay, Whitley, Holstyn and Joseph; his siblings, Joseph Tipton and Robin Boley; along with a host of other family members and friends. 

Funeral service will be at 11 am Friday, August 2, 2024, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Mount Eden Cemetery. Visitations will be Thursday 2 pm until 8 pm and Friday 9 am until the time of service at 11 am.
