Donald was a retired employee of GE and enjoyed spending his time at Waffle House and Derby City Casino.
He is survived by his stepdaughters Denise Herdt (Sam) and Diane Johnson (Ken); stepson Joey Blaydes (Lori); step-granddaughters Amber (Aaron), Brooklyn, Karsyn and Aniya; step-grandsons: Owen, Jacobi, and Dakari; son Steve Young (Mary); and daughter Tammy Harmon (Robert). Host of other grandkids and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Sharon Young, and his son Brian Young.Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The Young family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with direct cremation services.
