Doris Carroll

   Doris J. Carroll, age 81 of Jeffersontown, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 27, 2020.  Doris was raised in the Camp Taylor area.  She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield and after retirement, she worked at The Willow Tree.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Charity (Delk) Murphy; brothers, Charles Murphy, Robert Murphy and James Murphy; sister, Jewel Kuhn and nephew, Eric Murphy.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 58 years, Gordon “Bucky” Carroll, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Jody Phelps Murphy and Doris “Sissy” Adkins Rowe as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

   A Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3 pm at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 11 am until 3 pm at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.

   Memorial contributions to the family are appreciated in honor of Mrs. Carroll.
