

Esther J. Taylor, age 80 of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 26, 2020. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. Esther loved The Lord and was a very forgiving person. She will be remembered for her delicious potato salad. Esther loved to write and her stories and poems will be cherished for many years to come. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pauline Scott; son, John Pike; husband, Lindza Taylor; brothers, Danny Scott and Junior Scott and her sister, Barbara Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Deborah Rogers and Diane Lynch; son, Charles Pike; grandchildren, Julie Goldsmith (Steve), Kim Jackson, Jonathan Pike, David Pike, John Pike (Kim), Alicia Pike, Savannah Pike, Charles Pike, Jr., Timmy Pike, James Pike, Joe Pike, Melinda Lynch; sisters Ruth Rummage and Patsy Arnold and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with a Graveside Service at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Shepherdsville.
