Eugenia "Jean" Richardson

Eugenia “Jean” Richardson age 79, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. She was born Friday, April 21, 1944, in Shepherdsville to the late Eugene and “Hankie” Hatfield. 

Jean was an outdoors person, who loved to fish and spend time at the lake. She was a lover of thrifting and enjoyed her treasures.  She was a loving mother, sister, and granny that will be greatly missed. 

She was also preceded in death by her son, Ben Richardson, a grandson, Michael Day and her beloved Chihuahua, Buddy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Bryon Richardson (Debra), Tina Miller (David), Drema Dawson; grandchildren, Jeana (Brad), Johnathan (Cortney), Christopher, Krista (Jesse), David (Brianna), Kacey (Jesse), Jordan, and Trey (Faith); 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Hatfield along with a host of family and friends.

The family would like to extend heartfelt Thanks to her dear neighbors and friends for their care and support that they provided to Jean, especially Sheila, Michael, and Jacob.

 The family of Mrs. Richardson has chosen to honor her final wishes with cremation services and has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
