As the oldest I can attest that she never seemed to want me to be too old or big to not sit on her lap. I was reminded of this in the slide show, a picture of me sitting on her lap while Grandma Bradley held my oldest and at the time newborn Julia, Dad standing behind us. She was always there, even when I moved away to college she was there to help me move in. She was there to pull me out of the lake by my ponytail once when I got hot and slid in the water to cool off. She knew I knew how to swim, I was a teenager and had taken swim lessons as a child. I would bet she was the one that upped the ante to give me a dollar for everytime I jumped off the high dive in swim lessons, what had started with another grandparent offering me a dollar if I just jumped off. Or the trip to Natural Bridge where I loved getting to stay in a motel and was upset to go home, she said we were staying at the Samuels Motel that night, by the time we got to Mudd Lane I realized that the Samuels Motel was her house on Saguaro. Really there could be a book of memories, I have already started to share them with Torrin. I promise he will know his great great grandma and will do his best to fish just like her.

This is so heartbreaking I’ve known Glenda all  my life.Glenda was amazing woman.

My precious aunt Glenda was a mother to me. Danny,steve,marlyn,laura are my siblings. Every summer my mom had enough sense to know her son needed a break, her son needed to feel wanted.  Not that my mother didn't want me or love me. My mother sent me there because she cared. I never got home sick. But when I had to go back home I got home sick for my other family in shepherdsville kentucky.  No running water. Outhouse.  But my most precious memories were there. I play congas with my wife, and the guitar in church even to this day. All because aunt Glenda made us go to church if we wanted to go fishing.  My siblings, aunt Glendas children are grieving today, but now they have something to strive for.  Heaven. Hebrews 12. A cloud of witnesses.  I can see aunt Glenda standing up and cheering us on saying keep the faith, it is worth it. Rest in peace mom. You finished the course. You kept the faith. Enter in to the joy of the lord, good and faithful servant.

So sorry always enjoyed our visits and my mom (Joyce Sabin)  and rest of Sabin gang all thought very fondly of Glenda. She will be missed and remembered and    missed .

Oh my goodness,  this really breaks my heart. I meet Glenda (momma Glenda) when I was 15 and she took me into her home and treated me as her own,  I will always be greatful for that! I will always love you like my own momma. Rest peacefully beautiful. Sure will miss you

Mom you will missed by all of us. But we will make sure that we tell stories to Torrin and any future great-great grandkids about you. How everyone loved your chicken and dumplings. Your passion of canning to preserve the things you grew. The fact that you loved making banana and zucchini bread to freeze it and give it away as gifts or to just give it away, because they liked your home made breads. Stories about your fishing and camping trips, your love for travel, and Elvis. Stories about your favorite dog and how you would buy liver cheese just for him everyone new not to touch it. But most of all how much you love your family.

Don and I are so sorry for the passing of your mother Danny. Our love and prayer go out to you and all your family

I’ve loved Glenda all my life!!  I’ve never known a time she wasn’t in it, From a baby till now..  Mom and Glenda were best friends.  Glenda had a part in helping raise all 5 of us kids and she told us that she would be our Mom after my Mom died. And she was. All of us kids grew up together!  She’d spank us just as quick as she would her own!!  Glenda helped keep us in line!!  😁. Glenda was loved and adored by so many. I will miss you and ask that you give my Mom a hug when you see her up in Heaven!!  My condolences to all of her children and others she left behind. 

I just want to say I'm sorry past my condolences to all the family.

We knew Glenda through my sister, Kathy and brother-in-law, Danny.  At family gatherings and there's been lots of them over the years, she always made us feel so welcome and loved. Our hearts ache for the family  but just know many prayers, hugs and love to all of you.

Why she put up with a young kid, always going in and out of the house, and hanging around I'll never understand.  Glenda (Mom) was always nice to me and even gave me a gift to help me get through college party aftermath.  Laura knows what I mean.  I'll always remember her fondly.

Condolences to the family. You all took such good care of her. She was definitely loved by everyone who knew her. I know she is catching up with her family in heaven especially her daddy who she never failed to bring up during our visits. I will miss her but will not grieve because of the  assurance of where I truly believe she is. Enjoy your family reunion Aunt Glenda! I will see you again. Love, Melinda
