Heather Ann Mattingly

Heather Ann Mattingly age 48, of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on, Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born in Louisville on June 21, 1977, to Ricky T. Mattingly and Donna Brunner.

Heather was an outdoor enthusiast. She loved gardening, fishing, cutting grass, and tending to her chickens. All her chickens were named and followed her around when she was caring for them.  She was a caring and loving mom to Logan. Heather will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her father Ricky T. Mattingly, her sister Megan Mattingly, her infant daughter, Samantha Jo Mattingly, her grandparents, Delbert and Christine Mattingly, and Bill and Marie Brunner.

She is survived by her son, Logan Ashbaugh (Julia); granddaughter, Weslyn Ashbaugh; her significant other, Jason Ashbaugh; her mother, Donna Brunner (Stan); sister, Michelle Mattingly; in-laws, Ruth and Jack Ashbaugh; nephew, Jayden Wall; aunts, Shirley Walls (Ernie), Phyllis Buttry (Ross), and Donna Mattingly; uncle, Jerry Mattingly (Betty); stepmother, Cathy Mattingly, along with a host of family and friends. 

The family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with her arrangements and has chosen cremation.
