James Richard Adams

   James Richard Adams, age 75, of Somerset, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 17, 2023. He was born in Frankfort, Indiana on Tuesday, November 11, 1947, to the late Doyal and Betty Adams. James lived at Oakwood in Somerset, Kentucky and enjoyed his visits with his family. He was a huge wrestling fan and was able to go to many wrestling events. He also enjoyed fishing and loved dogs. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.

   He is survived by his brother, David Adams (Brenda); uncle, Charles Adams; niece, Angela K. Adams; nephew, David Lee Adams; his family, friends and the amazing caretakers at Oakwood; along with several great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 am until time of service on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
