James Earl Coy, age 77, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky passed away at his home on Friday, May 10, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born in Shepherdsville on Monday, March 24, 1947, to the late Lester and Zella Coy.
He was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, along with several brothers and sister in laws.
James enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and time with his family. He will be sadly missed by so many who loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 58 years, Norma Coy; his children, Cindy Jackson (Gary), Becky Hale (Shannon), and Todd Coy (Charity); his siblings, Mabel Evens, Jenny Smith (Ray) and W.D. Coy; along with 5 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Mount Eden Cemetery. Visitations will be on Monday, 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
