James Frances McClelland III

   James Frances McClelland III, age 62 of Vine Grove, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Frances McClelland II and Joyce Anne Sladick; his son, James Frances McClelland IV and his daughter, Amanda McClelland. He was a Navy veteran. James was a Kentucky Wildcat fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cornhole and time with his family and friends.

   He leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life, his wife Darlene McClelland; his stepchildren, Junior Dishon, Sarah Savage (Kirk), Jason Dishon, Austin Dishon and Elizabeth Dishon; his siblings, Joyce McClelland, Tammy Lavin (Tom), Debbie Merritt, Terry McClelland (Kimme) and Shanna Busch (Jason); his granddaughters, Ana, Nevaeh, Delilah, Emilee, Keleigh and Aleeah; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 3pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday 9am until time of service.
