James Williard Summitt, age 79 of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Owen Summitt, Sr. and Bertha Sidwell Summitt Hall; two sons, Tony Summitt and Donald Summitt.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Shane Green and Allen Green; a brother, Ronald Summitt (Jana); three sisters, Carolyn Davenport, Teresa Sandlin and Bonnie Satterly; a niece, Susan Johnson and several other nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville. Friends may pay their respects from 4 pm until 7 pm on Tuesday January 11, 2022 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
