Joe Thomas Mathews

   He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Sally Mathews; wife, Sue Mathews; son, Thomas Mathews; 4 brothers; 3 sisters. He was a retiree of General Electric after working 38 years and a member of Fairdale Christian Church.

  He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Gary Mathews; daughters, Debbie Mathews, Karen Coletta; grandchildren, Josh, Ricky and Samuel; great grandchildren, Mason, Rhett; several nieces, nephews.

  Funeral service will be conducted Noon on Friday April 23, 2021 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with a private burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 2 pm until 8 pm on Thursday April 22, 2021 and after 9 am on Friday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home. Expression of sympathy to Hospice of Louisville.
