Joe Tom Mooney

Joe Tom Mooney, 74 of Shepherdsville, KY passed away Monday August 3, 2009 at Norton Pavilion. He grew up in Bardstown Junction, he was a 1954 graduate from Shepherdsville High School and was a self-employed businessman from 1959-1980. From 1986-1992 he was involved with Hardy & Mooney Auto Supply. He also served as a Game Warden for Fort Knox Military reserve, Constable and a Special Deputy for Bullitt County Sheriffs Department and was a life long hunter. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nina Louise (Troutman) Mooney; parents, Bernard Levi Brady Mooney & Grace Smith (McCallister) Mooney; sister, Nancy Jean(Mooney)Reed. His is survived by his only son, Kevin Lee Mooney who is married to Melissa Ann (LaClair) Mooney, grandchildren, Hannah Marie and Lilly Marie Mooney. Funeral Services will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Visitations will be 2-8 pm Tuesday and 1pm until time of service Wednesday.
