John Edward Self

He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Self; his grandparents, John and Irene Ruch Self, and Edward and Ida Bowen.

He was Engineer by trait and a Navy Veteran. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, golfing at the VFW, traveling and spending time with friends and his dog Dudley.

John leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 8 years, Cindy Self; his daughters, Meghan, Lauren and Stephanie Self; his mother, Shirely Smith (Gary); his sisters, Leigh Kassinger and Tonya Tipton; his aunt, Mabel Self Carnell; along with a host of other family and friends.

The Self family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with Direct Cremation services. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
