Joseph Caldwell Sr.

Joe was born on February 7, 1944 to Lorene and Arthur Caldwell in Henderson, Kentucky.

Joe was one of 7 siblings. He served in the Army as a sergeant in the 196 Battalion Infantry in Vietnam from 1967-1968.

Joe spent most of his life with his loving wife of 41 years, Sue Caldwell. Together they raised five kids, Joseph, Jr. (Dina) of Henderson, Kentucky, Steven (Yen) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Debra (Scott) Neubecker of San Diego, CA., step children Kimberly (Fred) Reeder of Lexington, KY., Timothy (Luzvi) Tingle of West Haven, UT., 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings, Jane Starr, Ethel Tully, Kathleen Crook, Arthur Caldwell, Robert Caldwell and Paul David Caldwell and his granddaughter, Jennifer Caldwell.

A chapel service will be conducted 1 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington with entombment to follow. Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville is in charge of arrangements. Obituary on facebook and web page. In leiu of flowers to Kosair Charites.
