Kenneth "Gerald" Bright

Kenneth “Gerald” Bright, age 78 of Bardstown, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 13, 2023. Gerald was born to the late Moses and Frances Bright on Wednesday, September 13, 1944 in Bradfordsville, Kentucky. Gerald loved his classic cars and trucks. He was a gentle, kindhearted, and caring man.  He loved his family and enjoyed his time with them. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene Judd; brother, Clifton; grandson, Caleb; niece, Tracy; nephews, Michael, and Robert.

  He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Kenny Bright Jr. (Jennifer), Randy Bright, and John Evans Jr.; grandchildren, Cassie Bright, Gavin Withers, Trevor Bright, Joshua Bright, Jon Bright, Kurt Bright, Danielle Fitzgerald, Jason Nichols, and Megan Nichols; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Bright; sister Dorothy Henderson; nieces, Sherry Bright, Kathy Bright, Michelle Bright, and Jennifer Rodriguez, along with a host of other family and friends.

  Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1 pm in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buchman Street, Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, from 9:30 am until time of service at 1 pm at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
