Lillian Ann Nichols

   Lillian Ann Nichols, age 89 of Gap in Knob, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Lillian was born to the late Herbert and Pauline Moran in Louisville, on Friday, March 31, 1933.  She was a homemaker, who loved sewing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed bowling and her Bunco. She was a social butterfly that never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all those that loved her.

    In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Nichols, her siblings, Sonny Moran, Daniel Moran, Mary Ruth Wermuth, and grandson, Josh McKinney.

   She is survived by her children, Lynn Eddington (Wayne), John Nichols (Gina), Kathy Nichols, Mary Ratliff (Rob), Billie Johnson (Larry), Terri Seay, and Sherri Seay (Chris); brother David Moran; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, along with a host of other family and friends.

  Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:30 am in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street, Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1 pm until 8 pm and Tuesday 9 am until time of service at 11:30 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
