Mable Nickerson Smith

Mable Nickerson Smith, age 80 of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, September28, 2020. Mable was a member of Oakland Christian Church, VFW Post #5710 and American Legion Post #157.  She retired from Louisville Bedding as a sewing machine operator after 30 plus years of employment.  She loved to play Bingo and go to yard sales.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lorraine (Woods) Nickerson; husbands, Edward Berman and Leslie Smith; son, Eddie Dunford; daughter, Linda Scott; grandchildren, John Lowery, Jason Dunford and Heather Dunford; sisters, Mary Waddell, Helen Frederick, Shirley Henderson, Bonnie Litzinger and Marie Boggs and brother, Charles Nickerson.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Dale Dunford; daughter, Lori Stout; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Yates, Liz White and Janis Flynn and brothers, Wayne Nickerson and James Nickerson.

   Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10 am at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Riverview Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects at Hardy-Close Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1 from 4 pm until 8 pm; Friday, October 2 from 12 pm until 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am until time of service.
