Marie Blankenship

    Marie Blankenship, age 71 of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 12, 2019 with loving family by her side. She was employed with the Bullitt County Board of Education for 26 years as a bus driver.  She attended Sunny Side Baptist Church on Knob Creek Road in Shepherdsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Katherine (Arnold) Miller; her brothers, Raymond, Delmar, Lawrence and Melvin Miller and her sister Elizabeth Shelton.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 54 years, Hershel Blankenship; son, Duane Blankenship (Kathy); grandchildren, Chelsea Atty (Alex), Allison Blankenship (Brandon) and Clayton Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Taygan, Hadley and Eleanor; sister, Doris Abell of Brandenburg, KY.; brothers, Roscoe and Joe Miller and a host of other family and friends.

    Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Hopkinsville, Ky.
