Mary Gwyn Beams

  Mary Gwyn Boes Beams, age 71 of Shepherdsville, returned to her heavenly father on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, May 19, 1951, to the late John and Mary Boes.

  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Embry “Cecil” Beams, along with sisters, Florence Rodgers and Shirley Miller. 

  She enjoyed games on social media, collecting purses, pigs and especially, Little Miss. Piggy.   

  Mary is survived by her children, Donna Gumm (Jimmy), Melissa Beams, Embry Lee Beams, Lucas Beams, Geoffrey Boes (Debbie) and Raymond Boes (Faith); her siblings, Carol Wernert and Lynn Pincher; her granddaughter, Dallis Boes; along with a host of other family and dear friends.  

  Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 10 am in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street, Shepherdsville with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, 3 pm - 8 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until time of service at 10 am.
