Mary Juanita Lands

Mary ( Juanita) Lands age 76 of Brooks returned to her Heavenly Father on May 22, 2019 with loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Nellie Burton; sisters, Maxine Warren, Dianna Lutrell; brother, Harvey Burton. She was co-owner of Lands Water Service. Owner/Operator bus driver for J.C.P.S. for 30 years, President of Bullitt County Homemakers, Brooks Homemaker, Fairdale Elementary PTA, Fairdale Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Crosley Automobile Club for 45 years, International Harvester Collector Club. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 60 years Billy Lands; children, Tony Lands (Lisa), Billy Joe Lands (Kim), Sherry Jones (Don Jones), Tim Lands (Deneen); 13 grandchildren, 20+ great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Garman, Loraine Atwood and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Ferguson Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
