Mary Simpson

   Mary Kneisler Simpson, age 84 of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 29, 2022 with loving family by her side. She was a Faithful Servant and member of Victory Baptist Church. She was also a member of Bullitt County Homemakers Society and a Kentucky Colonel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James “J.R.” Simpson; parents, Wallace and Nellie Triplett Kneisler; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Kneisler; sister-in-law, Pauline Nelson; daughter-in-law, Donna Hatfield and son-in-law, Don Riggs.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her children, “R.C.” Hatfield, Darlene Riggs, Starla McGehee (Jerry) and Chris Simpson (Penny); 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Barbara “Barb” Griffis; brother-in-law, Gale Simpson (Pat); sister-in-law, Ramona Smith and a host of other family and friends.

  Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11:30 am at Victory Baptist Church, 4420 Ridge Road, Shepherdsville, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington. Friends may pay their respects on Monday , October 3, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday,  October 4, 2022 from 9 am until time of service at Victory Baptist Church.
