Melanie Susan Blair

   Melanie Susan Blair age 60, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 11, 2023. She was born in Spencer County, Kentucky on Friday, June 8, 1962.

   She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Kirby Blair; along with a brother, Donnie Blair.

   She was an Army veteran and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors and time with her family.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Barry Blair (Dan Gerwe) and Ian Hobbs; her mother, Joan Coy; her siblings, Keith Hall (Hope), Lori Blair, Mary Beth Samuels (Bill); along with a host of other nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11 am in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street, Shepherdsville with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends can pay their respects on Thursday, from 3 pm to 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
