Raymond Ernest Crable Jr.

    Raymond Ernest Crable Jr., age 80 of Shepherdsville, returned to his heavenly father on Monday, May 8, 2023. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, October 6, 1942, to the late Raymond E. Crable and Mary Rose Galvez.

   He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Crable; along with his grandparents, Edna Florence Langley Clark and Roy Langley. 

   Raymond was a Catholic by faith and an Army Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, working on the farm and time with his family.

   He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, Cho Crable; his children, Donna Brooks, Robert Crable (Emily), Roy Crable (Michelle), George Crable, Angela Oughton (Steve), Donald Crable, Gina Ewing, Stanley Crable, Sunda Lawrence (Jason), Stephanie Crable, John Crable (Lindsay) and William “Billy” Crable (Jullianne); 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.    

   Funeral service will be at 11am on Monday, May 15, 2023 in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitations will be Sunday 2pm until 8pm and Monday 9am until time of service at 11am.
