Richard Oscar Lawson

Richard Oscar Lawson age 74 of Valley Station returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 12, 2019 with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents John Oscar and Clara Lee Lawson; sister, Ruby Mudd. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years Barbara Lawson; daughters, Joyce Keener (Jimmy), and Eva Geary (Leon); grandchildren, Nicholaus Lawson (Veronica), Brittany Price (Tee), Sean Fountain, Jamie, Jessica, Jase, and Jackson Keener; brothers, Larry Lawson, Barry Lawson (Cookie), Jimmie Lawson (Vickie); and Charles Lawson (Tina); sisters, Jean Rennirt, Cynthia Lawson, and Trish Boyett (Scott); and a host of other family and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 17, 2019 at 12 noon in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 South Buckman St.) with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 South Buckman St).
