Richard Colin Scott Jr.

   He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Wehrwein; his grandparents, Robert Odle Sr, Viola M. Odle and Kenneth Scott.

   Richard was a Navy Veteran. He was an employee at LAP Ford Motor Company for the last 8 years. Richard enjoyed family gatherings, shooting off fireworks, bowling, disc golf, golf and spending time with his sons. He also enjoyed working on cars, projects around the house, watching his cousin Kenny boat race and was a Detroit Lions fan. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

  He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Rachel Scott; his children, Austin J. Scott, and Christopher P. Scott; his mother, Barbara Helen Odle Hlavaty; his father, Richard Colin Scott Sr.; his siblings, Mandy Morrison Emerick (Matthew), Stephanie Arnold (Brent) and Chris Scott; his grandmother, Betty Scott; his stepfathers, Ted Morrison Sr (Judy). and John Hlavaty; his stepbrothers, Ted Morrison Jr. and Terry Morrison; his stepsister, Kelly Macintosh, and his brother-in-law, Fred Wehrwein; along with a host of extended family and friends. 

 Funeral service will be 3 pm Sunday, October 15, 2023, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12 pm until time of service at 3 pm.
