Ricky Thomas Mattingly

Ricky Thomas Mattingly, age 68, of Cox’s Creek, returned to his heavenly father on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1955, to the late Delbert and Martha Mattingly. 

He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Megan Mattingly, and his brother, Don Mattingly.

Ricky was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed working on his old Chevrolet truck, going to the lake, camping and time with his family. He will be truly missed by so many who loved him. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 25 years, Cathy Mattingly; his children, Heather Ann Mattingly, Michelle Lynn Mattingly, Charles Lee Miller (Heather) and Shelly Miller; his siblings, Phyllis Buttry (Ross), Shirley Walls (Ernie), Jerry Mattingly (Betty) and sister-in-law, Donna Mattingly; his grandchildren, Logan, Jayden, Kaleigh, Dylan and Kaitlynn; along with a host of other family and friends. 

The Mattingly family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with Direct Cremation services, with a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date.
