Robert "Snapper" Wayne Tipton

Robert “Snapper” Wayne Tipton, age 77, of Shepherdsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, March 27, 1947, to the late Everette and Mammie Tipton.  

He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Belcher, Billy Tipton and Bruce Tipton.

Robert was a Christian by faith, an Army Veteran, and a Mason at Suburban Lodge 740. He enjoyed fishing, yardwork, and time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by so many who loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 54 years, Debbie Tipton; his son, Jason Tipton (Dana); his grandchildren, Ava, Kason and Layla Tipton; his siblings, Larry Tipton, Johnny Tipton and Linda Pinkston; his niece, Sherri Blair; along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 3 pm Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with cremation to follow. Visitations will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11 am until the time of service at 3 pm.
