Ronald "Ronnie" Hopper Jr

Ronald “Ronnie” Hopper Jr, age 57, of Shepherdsville, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, with his loving family by his side shortly after his Kentucky Wildcats brought home a win. Ronnie was born in Louisville on Wednesday, January 19, 1966, to the late Ronald Hopper Sr. and Carolyn Hopper.

   In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his Papaw and Mamaw Hopper.  

   He was an avid University of Kentucky fan, that loved to watch his Cats play. He was a hardworking man that was very stubborn. He loved to fish and play poker. Ronnie was a loving husband, dad, brother, and Poppy that will be greatly missed.

   He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Tonya; a son, Travis Logsdon (Christina); a daughter, Courtney Logsdon; grandchildren, Kaylee, Bailey, Paisley, Kinslee, Holden, and Brinlee; his sisters, Jackie Harris, and Karen Hopper; along with a host of several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

  Funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 am on Thursday, November 30, 2023, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, and Thursday from 8:30 am until the time of service at 9:30.
