Samuel R. "Bobby" Allen

Samuel R. “Bobby” Allen 64 of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 25, 2025. He was born on Friday, December 9, 1960, to the late Samuel and Helen Allen. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Allen, his nephew, Matthew Allen and mother-in-law, Inez Shepherd Huff.

He was a member of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church and was a retired pipe fitter at Ford Motor Company Truck Plant Local 862. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing things, a Kentucky Wildcat fan, and was known as an adrenaline junkie. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by so many who loved him. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 43 years, Dawn Allen; his children, Tiffany Rowe (Herbie) and Crystal Fletcher (Kevin); his siblings, Debbie Jones (Don) and Timmy Allen (Denise); his grandchildren, Josiah, Jordan, Reese, Joslyn, Gabe, Alyssa, Madison, Cole and Robbi; his great grandchildren, Waylon and Oaklynn; his father-in-law, Shirley Huff (Sharon); along with a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Bullitt Lick Cemetery. Visitations will be Wednesday 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
