Samuel C. Smith Jr. age 72 of Valley Station returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 18, 2017 with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel C. Smith Sr. and Florence Shuffitt; brother, Eddie Smith; sisters, Margie Madden, JoAnn Cameroy. He leaves to cherish is memory his wife, Cynthia Lawson; daughter, Tammy Wagner (Troy); grandchildren, Rebecca Smith, Amber Maupin; step grandchildren, Ashley Sauer, Amber Wagner; 9 great grandchildren' sisters, Faye Allen, Sally Shamo, June Powell, Jenny Drake and his pet dog Angel and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville with burial in Wilson Family Cemetery.
