Shirley Maddox age 79 of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on January 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Virginia Rarden; husband, Irvin Maddox; brother, Billy Rarden; sister, Anna Bell Croan. Mrs. Maddox was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Carl (Bud) Johnson; daughter, Mary Ann Johnson; grandson, Dustin Johnson and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 5285 Highway 44 East with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street in Shepherdsville and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at church.
