William Larry "Cougar" Swann

   William Larry “Cougar” Swann Sr., age 66, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 19, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born on Saturday, November 10, 1956, at Fort Knox to the late Ralph Swann Sr. and Delia Swann.  A Baptist by faith, that loved to hunt and fish. He was a quiet and humbled man that carried himself with honor. He served in Dessert Storm and was the proud M1A1 tank commander in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, and papaw that will be greatly missed.

  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister Donna Kenzel, and a great-granddaughter, Raegan May Maraman.

  He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lee Swann; children, William Swann Jr. (Tina) and Tiffany Swann-Probus (Nathan); grandchildren, Karlie Lynch(Trey), Wayne Ferguson Jr.(Jacqueline), Josh Probus (Cassandra), Drew Swann (Koda), Erick Swann, Robert Goodlett, Jada Swann, Kaylin Ferguson, and Cameron Probus; great-grandchildren, Aleigha, Wayne III, and Rosie; a brother, Ralph Swann Jr., along with a host of nieces, nephews, and family.

  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, September 25, 2023, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 3 pm until 8 pm and again on Monday from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
