

William “Dan” Worner age 70, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born on Wednesday, January 19, 1955, in Bardstown, KY to Juanita Dillander. Dan was preceded in death by his dad, Vernon Ray Dillander.
He was a kind and lovable guy, that lived a happy life. He loved to read westerns. He always greeted women with “hey, baby girl”. He loved to fish when he had the opportunity and squirrel hunt. Dan also had the skill of removing a fishing pole from a pile and never got them tangled.
He is survived by his mom, Juanita Dillander; his siblings, Jimmy Dean “Brother #2”, Billy Ray Dillander, Philip Dillander, Tammy Dillander, Dwayne Dillander, and Vernon Neil Dillander; his special loving friend, Ms. Brenda who loved him for who he was, along with a host of nephews and nieces and dear friends.
The family would like to Thank all the staff at Colonial Health in Bardstown for their outstanding care while Dan was in their care.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial to follow at Little Brick Cemetery in Boston, KY. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of service at 1 pm.
