Wilson "Roger" Porter

  He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Pop-Pop Simmons, and Martha and James Perkins. 

  Roger enjoyed life to the fullest. He liked to fish when he could. He had a special gift, allowing him to connect and speak with people. He was self-employed and loved his job sealing driveways.

  He is survived by his parents George and Sandy Perkins; his siblings Brad Perkins and Melissa Williams; his children, Austin Hoffman, Sean and Damon Smith, Tristan Porter, and Summer Hodge; 2 grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews. 

  Funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 South Buckman Street in Shepherdsville. Family and friends may pay their respects from 12 noon until the time of service at 4 pm. 

The family has asked in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to Hardy-Close Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
